Overview

TakeUp had built an AI-powered revenue management platform specifically designed for independent hotels, boutique properties, and glamping retreats - the segment of hospitality that large enterprise revenue management systems like IDeaS and Duetto are not built to serve. The problem was that the brand and digital presence did not communicate the sophistication of the AI or the human revenue strategist layer that differentiated TakeUp from both enterprise tools and basic PMS rate rules.

For independent hoteliers, revenue management has historically meant either expensive enterprise systems designed for chains or manual rate-setting based on intuition. Every month TakeUp's brand stayed generic, property operators defaulted to manual pricing or ignored revenue optimization entirely, not because TakeUp's product was wrong for them, but because the brand did not clearly communicate what it was or why it was different.

In hospitality technology, independent operators are the hardest segment to convert because they have been burned by enterprise tools that overpromise and underdeliver for their property size. An undifferentiated brand triggers that same skepticism, regardless of whether the product is actually built for them.

We built a brand and digital experience that communicated both the AI capability and the human oversight layer, positioning TakeUp as the revenue management platform built specifically for independent properties.

The repositioned brand now supports direct-to-operator sales and communicates the combination of AI pricing and human strategy that differentiates TakeUp from both enterprise systems and basic automation tools.
