SpringLabs

Overview
Spring Labs is a blockchain-based platform designed to transform how financial information is shared globally. We partnered directly with the Product Marketing Team from seed stage to roll out a brand and digital product experience fully aligned with the core vision. The problem was that the brand positioned Spring Labs as a crypto company rather than a financial data infrastructure company, which created immediate friction with the compliance-first banking buyers they needed to reach.
In financial services, the word 'blockchain' triggers specific procurement concerns around regulatory risk, custody, and compliance. Every quarter Spring Labs' brand led with decentralized technology rather than the fraud prevention outcomes, banks that could have benefited from the platform hesitated to engage their compliance teams in evaluation. The TransUnion partnership lent credibility, but the brand did not leverage it effectively.
For a company selling privacy-preserving infrastructure to regulated financial institutions, leading with blockchain positioning instead of fraud prevention outcomes means that the compliance teams who gate procurement decisions will deprioritize the evaluation before the product team ever sees a demo.
We repositioned the brand and rebuilt the digital experience to lead with the financial crime prevention outcomes and the institutional partnerships, framing the blockchain infrastructure as the mechanism rather than the mission.
Spring Labs secured a $23 million Series A investment round, followed by a $30 million Series B led by TransUnion - validating both the technology and the repositioned brand.
